AI Methods' debut as an exhibitor at the Meteorological Technology World Expo, held in Vienna from September 24-26, was an exciting milestone for the company. We had the opportunity to showcase our latest AI developments in weather forecasting with a focus on the aviation sector and to engage with other companies and meteorological experts.
A key highlight was presenting KAIROS, our SESAR Joint Undertaking-funded project aimed at transforming aviation weather forecasting through advanced AI solutions.
The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Extreme Weather Prediction
A popular theme at the Meteorological Technology World Expo was AI’s growing impact on extreme weather forecasting. With its ability to analyze massive real-time data, AI significantly improves the accuracy of predicting the increasing severe climate events like storms, wind and lack of visibility—critical not only for the aviation industry, but also for UAVs and for sectors like the maritime, energy or agriculture, among others.
A Motivating First Step
As first-time exhibitors, the event was both insightful and motivating. We left Vienna eager to continue pushing the limits of AI in meteorology and look forward to future opportunities to showcase our advancements.
